The assignment is divided into two Sections 'A' and 'B'. You have to attempt at least two questions from each section in about 600 words each. All questions carry equal marks.

SECTION-A

1. Discuss the nature and scope of Home Science as an interdisciplinary field. Explain  how the discipline has undergone a paradigm shift over the years.

2. Define Human Development and describe its significance as a field of study.  Elaborate on the major domains of development.

3. Critically examine the psychoanalytical and contextual perspectives of human  development. Compare the key concepts proposed by Freud and Erikson.

4. Discuss the major principles underlying behaviourist, cognitive and information  processing perspectives of human development.

5. Describe the stages of prenatal development and explain the significance of  prenatal care by highlighting the role of maternal health, nutrition, environmental factors.

6. Discuss the key milestones in gross and fine motor skills in infancy and  toddlerhood, and explain how biological maturation, environmental stimulation and caregiver support contribute to variations in early motor development.

7. Explain the major characteristics of cognitive development in infancy and  toddlerhood with reference to theoretical perspectives of Piaget.

8. Discuss the processes involved in social and emotional development during infancy and toddlerhood.

SECTION-B

1. Explain the major characteristics of physical and motor development during early and late childhood.

2. Evaluate the role of schooling, social interaction and cultural context in shaping cognitive and language growth skills during Early and late childhood.

3. Describe the development of self-concept, peer relationships, moral understanding and emotional regulation, and examine how family environment, parenting practices, school experiences and socio-cultural factors contribute to children's social and emotional adjustment.

4. Discuss the biological processes underlying puberty, highlight the differences in growth patterns and sexual maturation between boys and girls, and explain how these physical changes influence adolescents' overall development and daily functioning.

5. Explain the cognitive changes that take place during adolescence with reference to major theoretical perspectives.

6. Discuss the physical, psychological and social changes that individuals experience during adulthood.

7. Define the concept of successful ageing and discuss the factors that contribute to healthy ageing in later life.

8. Examine societal attitudes toward ageing, death and dying.

सत्रीय कार्य दो खंडों 'अ' और 'ब' में विभाजित है। आपको प्रत्येक खंड से कम से कम दो प्रश्न लगभग 600 शब्दों में हल करने होंगे। सभी प्रश्नों के अंक समान हैं।

आयतन - A

1. गृह विज्ञान के अंतःविषयक स्वरूप और उसके विस्तार पर चर्चा कीजिए। यह भी स्पष्ट  कीजिए कि समय के साथ इस विषय में किस प्रकार प्रतिमान-परिवर्तन (पैराडाइजीएम शिफ्ट) हुआ है।

2. मानव विकास को परिभाषित कीजिए और एक अध्ययन क्षेत्र के रूप में इसकी महत्ता का  वर्णन कीजिए। विकास के प्रमुख आयामों की विस्तार से व्याख्या कीजिए।

3. मानव विकास के मनोविश्लेषणात्मक तथा प्रासंगिक (कंटेक्सचुअल) दृष्टिकोणों का आलोचनात्मक परीक्षण कीजिए। फ्रायड तथा एरिक्सन द्वारा प्रस्तावित प्रमुख अवधारणाओं की तुलनात्मक विवेचना कीजिए।

4. मानव विकास के व्यवहारवादी, संज्ञानात्मक तथा सूचना-संसाधन (इनफॉर्मेशन प्रोसेसिंग) दृष्टिकोणों के अंतर्निहित प्रमुख सिद्धांतों पर चर्चा कीजिए।

5. जन्मपूर्व विकास (प्रैनेटल डेवलपमेंट) के चरणों का वर्णन कीजिए तथा मातृ-स्वास्थ्य, पोषण और पर्यावरणीय कारकों की भूमिका को उजागर करते हुए जन्मपूर्व देखभाल के महत्त्व की व्याख्या कीजिए।

6. शैशव और प्रारंभिक बाल्यावस्था में स्थूल (ग्रॉस) एवं सूक्ष्म (फाइन) क्रियात्मक कौशलों के प्रमुख मील के पत्थरों पर चर्चा कीजिए, और स्पष्ट कीजिए कि जैविक परिपक्वता, पर्यावरणीय उद्दीपन तथा अभिभावकीय सहयोग किस प्रकार प्रारंभिक क्रियात्मक विकास में विविधताओं को प्रभावित करते हैं।

7. शैशव काल और टॉडलरहुड के आरम्भिक चरणों में संज्ञानात्मक विकास की प्रमुख विशेषताओं की पियाजे के सैद्धांतिक दृष्टिकोणों के संदर्भ में व्याख्या कीजिए।

8. शैशव और प्रारंभिक बाल्यावस्था में सामाजिक एवं भावनात्मक विकास से जुड़े प्रमुख  प्रक्रियाओं पर चर्चा कीजिए।

वॉल्यूम - बी

1. प्रारंभिक और मध्य बाल्यावस्था में शारीरिक एवं क्रियात्मक विकास की प्रमुख विशेषताओं  की व्याख्या कीजिए।

2. स्कूली शिक्षा, सामाजिक सहभागिता तथा सांस्कृतिक संदर्भ प्रारंभिक और उत्तर बाल्यावस्था  में संज्ञानात्मक एवं भाषा-विकास कौशलों को किस प्रकार प्रभावित करते हैं - इसका मूल्यांकन कीजिए।

3. आत्म-अवधारणा, सहकर्मी संबंध, नैतिक समझ तथा भावनात्मक विनियमन के विकास का वर्णन कीजिए, तथा यह भी विश्लेषण कीजिए कि पारिवारिक वातावरण, पालन-पोषण की शैली, विद्यालयी अनुभव तथा सामाजिक-सांस्कृतिक संदर्भ बच्चों के सामाजिक एवं भावनात्मक अनुकूलन को कैसे प्रभावित करते हैं।

4. किशोरावस्था में वयःसंधि (प्यूबर्टी) से संबंधित जैविक प्रक्रियाओं पर चर्चा कीजिए,  लड़कों और लड़कियों में वृद्धि- प्रतिमान तथा लैंगिक परिपक्वता के अंतर को स्पष्ट कीजिए, तथा यह भी बताइए कि ये शारीरिक परिवर्तन किशोरों के समग्र विकास और दैनिक क्रियाशीलता को किस प्रकार प्रभावित करते हैं।

5. किशोरावस्था में होने वाले संज्ञानात्मक परिवर्तनों की प्रमुख सैद्धांतिक दृष्टिकोणों के संदर्भ सहित व्याख्या कीजिए, ।

6. वयस्कता के दौरान व्यक्ति को होने वाले शारीरिक, मनोवैज्ञानिक और सामाजिक परिवर्तनों पर विस्तृत चर्चा कीजिए।

7. सफल जरण (सक्सेसफुल एजिंग) की अवधारणा को परिभाषित कीजिए तथा स्वस्थ  वृद्धावस्था में योगदान देने वाले प्रमुख कारकों पर चर्चा कीजिए।

8. वृद्धावस्था, मृत्यु और मरण (डेथ एंड डाइंग) के प्रति समाज की धारणाओं का परीक्षण कीजिए।
