The second year of the M.A. Program MAFL has been developed for advanced levels in French Studies, including language, literature, history/culture and research methodology. The TWELVE (12) credit course-MFLP 011 is the main thesis component in the syllabus of M.A. French Final year (2).

Guidelines and Modalities for the thesis are as mentioned below:-

1. Dissertation/M.A. Thesis is of 12 credits.

2. Language of thesis will be French.

3. Topics and synopsis to be approved and finalized in consultation with Program Coordinator/Academic Counsellor in advance.

4. Dissertation will be of 45-50 pgs including bibliography, annexures, Introductory pages and copy of synopsis approval. Typed (both sides) and spiral bound.

5. Students may select topics related to-

French language, Literature, Language, Linguistics, Didactics of FLE, Translation/Interpretation, Area Studies, French History & Culture, Francophonie, Indo-French Travel studies, French Arts and Cinema, Language Policies, Techno-pedagogy of the French Language and any other topic related to France or French studies.

6. Dissertation /Thesis can also be based on selected Novels, Literary works, Collection of poems and such others.
