SECTION -I

1. Define the scope and significance of comparative politics. How has the field evolved in the post-colonial and globalisation era?

2. Examine the Marxist view of the state. How does it differ from the liberal and Gandhian perspectives?

3. Discuss the relevance of the political economy approach to the study of comparative politics. Illustrate with suitable examples.

4. What is the world-systems approach? Critically analyse its contribution to the understanding of global inequalities.

5. Write short notes on the following in about 250 words each:

a) Structural-functional approach in political analysis

b) Comparative method in political science

6. Explain the concept of multiculturalism. How is it used as a strategy to manage ethnic and cultural diversity in modern states?

7. Discuss the feminist critique of the modern state. How does it challenge the dominant frameworks of comparative politics?

8. Assess the relationship between bureaucracy and development in the context of developing countries.

9. Examine the impact of globalisation on national identity and sovereignty in the Global South.

10. Write short notes on the following in about 250 words each:

a) Civil society and its role in democracy

b) Duverger's classification of party systems

खण्ड-1

1) तुलनात्मक राजनीति (Comparative Politics) की क्षेत्र और महत्व क्या हैं? उपनिवेशोत्तर और भूमंडलीकरण (globalisation) के संदर्भ में इसके विकास की व्याख्या कीजिए।

2) राज्य की मार्क्सवादी (Marxist) दृष्टि का विवेचन कीजिए। इसकी अंतर उदारवादी (liberal) और गाँधीवादी (Gandhian) दृष्टिकोण से कीजिए।

3) राजनीतिक अर्थव्यवस्था (Political Economy) दृष्टिकोण की तुलनात्मक राजनीति में प्रासंगिकता स्पष्ट कीजिए। उपयुक्त उदाहरणों के साथ समझाइए।

4) वर्ल्ड सिस्टम दृष्टिकोण (World-Systems Approach) क्या है? वैश्विक असमानताओं को समझने में इसके योगदान का आलोचनात्मक विश्लेषण कीजिए।

5) निम्नलिखित पर लगभग 250 शब्दों में संक्षिप्त टिप्पणी लिखिएः

7) आधुनिक राज्य की स्त्रीवादी (Feminist) आलोचना की विवेचना कीजिए। यह तुलनात्मक राजनीति के परंपरागत ढाँचों को कैसे चुनौती देती है?

8) विकासशील देशों में नौकरशाही (Bureaucracy) और विकास (Development) के आपसी संबंधों का विश्लेषण कीजिए।

9) वैश्विक दक्षिण (Global South) में राष्ट्रीय पहचान (National Identity) और संप्रभुता पर वैश्वीकरण के प्रभाव का परीक्षण कीजिए।
